Kylie fronts breast cancer campaign

Aims to raise funds and awareness

Kylie Minogue, Claudia Schiffer and Sienna Miller are fronting this year's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) campaign.

The 41 year old singer was diagnosed with the disease five years ago during her Showgirl tour. She was later given the all clear following treatment which included chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The singer has been photographed by world renowned photographer Mario Testino wearing nothing other than a silk sheet emblazoned with the charity's target logo.

“It means so much to me to be part of this years’ campaign for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. I wholeheartedly support their efforts to raise funds for the vital work undertaken by Breakthrough Breast Cancer,” she said.

The stunning pictures are to be used as part of a high profile national advertising campaign by FTBC from March 29th to mid-May, which is aiming to raise over £1m for breast cancer research, campaigning and education.

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer was established in 1994 by designer Ralph Lauren after his friend and Fashion Editor of the Washington Post, Nina Hyde, died of breast cancer.

Since the launch of FTBC in the UK in 1996, over £10.5 million has been raised for the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer to fund breast cancer research, campaigning and education work.

UK retailers, including M&S, Topshop, Coast and River Island, have chosen items to sell during the campaign. At least 30% of the price of each item will go directly to FTBC.
