You may find it difficult to switch off from daily anxieties you experience at work, at home or in your personal life. This can severely affect your ability to sleep. So...

  • Make a list of the 101 things you need to remember for the following day and keep it beside the bed. If you think of any more you can always add them
  • Don't set yourself impossible tasks
  • Learn to say no to people
  • Try not to dwell on events which occurred in the past, or fear for the future
  • Talk through perceived problems with friends or your partner
  • Give yourself some quiet time every day - yes you do have the time!
  • Try some relaxing activities - pilates, yoga, aromatherapy or a hobby
  • Try some breathing exercises
