Tesco Pharmacy offers free advice to customers.

If you are taking more than one medicine or are on regular medication this service can help. Following on from the survey that most people don't know the differences between major over the counter pain medications (Consumers confused about painkillers), Tesco Pharmacy are drawing attention to their free advice service.

You can request a consultation with a Tesco pharmacist. This will take place in a private area. The pharmacists will review all your mediction and provide explanations and feedback.

This service is really needed because it's estimated that up to 21million Brits don't take their prescription medicines correctly. The reasons why medicines are taken incorrectly vary but include people forgetting what they've been told about taking them, misunderstanding directions or even just not wanting to take what has been prescribed.

Dr Chris says: "Taking medicines correctly is incredibly important but often people take them incorrectly. Talking through the details with a pharmacist can be invaluable – and in some cases make a real difference to your health"

Tesco Pharmacists have been extremely successful in offering this service – a reflection of the convenience of their offering. With over 200 in-store Pharmacies nationwide and their longer opening hours, it's easy for anyone to make an appointment for the short consultation at a time to suit them.
