Study discovers that babies that have been breastfeed have higher IQs

Breastfeeding found to boost baby IQ

Researchers from McGill University in Montreal carried out a six-year survey of 14,000 children and discovered that breastfed babies had on average a 5.9 point higher IQ that babies that were not breastfed.

It appears that the fatty acids in breast milk could help boost intelligence. Researchers found that at the age of six-and-a-half, those that had been exclusively breastfed scored 5.9 points higher on average in tests of overall intelligence. They also scored 7.5 points higher in verbal intelligence and 2.9 points in non-verbal tests.

There are a number of other benefits of breastfeeding so it seems that breast is indeed best.
